(551 – 479 BC) China’s most famous teacher, philosopher, and political theorist, whose ideas have influenced the civilization of East Asia. Confucius founded a philosophy to guide man’s behavior towards his fellow man. Confucianism is not a religion but rather a guide for day to day living.
